2006 Congressional results for women..

These 2006 mid-term elections were golden for Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi, Senator-elect Claire McCaskill (MO) and others -- but not for women in general re equal representation in Congress where women picked up only four (4) seats net in the House so far, to gain one percentage point or up to 16.3% of all seats...Here are the results:

Top-rated races (National Journal/HOTINE)

OPEN SEATS (7 of 32)

Taxation-without-representation states (some progress!)

Women did pick up two seats in the U.S. Senate -- for a total of 16 (16%).

To be continued -- the 2008 campaign began today!
